In the early 1900s well known photographer Fred Kiser spent years in Glacier Park snapping photos of the scenery. He was the official photographer for the Lewis and Clark Exposition in Portland, OR in 1905 , and at the time he hand-colored is scenic photos, taken during his six years in Glacier. Ultimately Kiser was hired by the Great Northern Railway as their official photographer.
